SUMMARY:
Diversified construction company seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer to manage insurance, claims and security programs. Reports to Chief Financial Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES;
1. purchase insurance, negotiate coverages and maximize protection of company assets
2 experience with OCIP and wrap programs along with handling construction defect and frivolous claims arising from property development
3. manage insurance brokers and negotiating pricing of all aspects of insurance: gl, wc, health and welfare, property, bonds
4. supervise security, claims and administrative staff
5. handle employee contracts, third-party contract, risk identifications and shifting of "operational risk" to others
6. interpret and effectively apply regulations as they relate to WC, CAL-OSHA and insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 7 years of risk management experience with 3 + years in building/real estate industry
Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field. Some experience working with family-owned businesses, dynamic risk environment and/or loss control a plus.
Must be a self-starter, assertive; possess excellent communication skills and partnerships with Executive staff, in-house and contracted legal counsel
