Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer

SUMMARY:
This is a senior executive position with a growing, financially stable commercial insurance carrier.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for overall underwriting profitability and strategy, reinsurance strategy, catastrophe management, product management, underwriting controls, regulatory filings, loss control and premium audit. Accountable for loss ratio, expense ratio and growth as well as leading indicator metrics. The SVP will be responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of company's underwriting culture and resources with both home office based direct reports and dotted line accountability of field underwriting staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of commercial underwriting management experience through both field and home office positions. Ideal candidate will have experience with developing and executing underwriting strategies, operational experience and infrastructure development in systems, service centers, product development/management and regulatory support. Knowledge of segmentation strategies, post-merger portfolio integration and results transformation a plus.
