SUMMARY:
A+ rated carrier based in New Jersey is seeking a vice president of underwriting and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in national accounts and possess a proven track record in marketing and/or agency management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop insurance programs through general agents and/or managing general agents.
Will lead the strategic analyses of the market place to identify new opportunities
Monitor industry changes, trends and competitive movements to capitalize on opportunities.
Guide the insurance program development process, including cost benefit analyses, contract development, business planning and implementation.
Lead the development of promotional & advertising material for the companys underwriting department.
Maintain a strong emphasis on target marketing, account retention, customer service and broker relationships.
REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years experience underwriting (company)
Advanced marketing and business planning skills.
Ability to develop, implement and manage a marketing plan in order to meet premium production goals and produce an underwriting profit.
Must have strong communication, collaboration and influential skills with senior management, direct reports and customers.
National background experience a must.
