SUMMARY:
A national provider of commercial insurance within a niche industry is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will be responsible for all financial & fiscal management aspects of the company and the oversight of human resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs the preparation of all financial reports, including the annual statement, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
• Oversees both internal and external audits, exams and actuarial studies.
• Oversees accounting department and budget preparation.
• Oversees cash management and implements investment policy of company.
• Assists in the development of the corporate budgets, financial strategy, planning and forecasts.
• Assists in the rate making activities of the company by participating in rate committee meetings and providing financial information necessary to the rate making process.
• Oversees human resource services, policies and programs.
• Advises the CEO, Board of Directors and other executive management on financial and human resource matters.
• Manages the relationship with A.M.Best, working closely with the rating agency to keep them apprised of company operations.
• Serves as a member of the Board appointed Pension Committee, Management Audit Committee, Investment Committee and Reinsurance Committee.

Requirements:
• 10 + years in Accounting / Finance
• Extensive knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Industry
• Extensive knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles
• Extensive knowledge of Reinsurance
• General understanding of pension and benefit administration
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills
• Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
• CPA or MBA preferred
